Zepto Cafe Hits Milestone as 75,000 daily orders. Fast delivery is becoming increasingly popular for food too, not just groceries. Companies are competing fiercely to get hot meals to customers quickly, because everyone agrees that there’s nothing like opening a box of steaming hot noodles or biryani within ten minutes of ordering it. Zepto has crossed 75,000 daily orders since launching in December 2024.
Zepto Cafe Hits Milestone
Zepto Cafe is growing rapidly! CEO Aadit Palicha announced on Saturday that they’ve reached an impressive 75,000 daily orders, a 50% jump from 50,000 orders just four weeks ago.
Zepto Cafe’s CEO, Aadit Palicha, is excited about their progress but says there’s more to come. He mentioned that customers love the service, the business is doing well financially, and the team is highly motivated. Since launching as its own app in December 2024, Zepto Cafe has seen impressive growth. They started with 30,000 orders a day, then jumped to over 50,000 in January 2025 – a 60% increase in just one month.
Zepto’s CEO, Aadit Palicha, thinks their rapid food delivery service is the next big thing in online shopping and believes Zepto is just beginning. And Zepto isn’t the only one seeing success – competitors like Blinkit Bistro (backed by Zomato) and Swiggy’s Bolt are also growing their fast food delivery services.
Swiggy’s Bolt fast delivery service is doing well. In their report to shareholders for the third quarter of the financial year 2025, Swiggy said Bolt now makes up 9% of all their food deliveries, up from just 5% last November. Launched in October 2024, Bolt is already available in 425 cities. Swiggy believes they’re the first to offer this kind of service at such a large scale, giving their 15 million users more options and helping restaurants reach more customers.
Zomato’s Blinkit also got into the fast food delivery game with their Bistro app, launched in December 2024. Bistro promises snacks, meals, and drinks delivered in just 10 minutes. Zomato’s CEO, Deepinder Goyal, explained that Bistro is aimed at office workers who want quick food. He pointed out that this market is usually served by on-site vendors and vending machines, and regular food delivery often isn’t fast enough. Bistro is trying to solve this problem by building the necessary infrastructure and working with food experts to create a good service.
The fast food delivery business is booming, but it’s also facing some criticism. Restaurant industry groups in India, like the National Restaurant Association and the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations, have accused companies like Zomato and Swiggy of questionable practices. These accusations include hiding customer data, creating their own “private label” brands, betraying the trust of the restaurants they partner with, and abusing their powerful position in the market.
