New Instagram Update ‘Your Algorithm’ Lets Users Pick Exactly What They Want to See

Instagram Your Algorithm feature display showing personalized Reels topics on a phone screen.

Instagram is rolling out a major new feature called ‘Your Algorithm’ for its popular Reels tab, giving users unprecedented control over the video content they see. This update, confirmed by Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri, aims to increase transparency and personalization.

Users will find the new ‘Your Algorithm’ tab in the top-right corner of the Reels interface. Upon tapping, they will be shown an AI-generated summary of their interests, based on recent activity, featuring topics like “Painting,” “Chess,” or “Horror Movies.”

The key functionality allows users to actively choose topics they want to see more of or areas they want to see less of. This moves content discovery from a passive prediction system to an active, user-tuned experience.

The feature is first being launched in the U.S. and will soon expand globally, with plans to eventually bring this level of algorithmic control to the Explore page as well.

A New Kind of Mobile for Everyone

HMD Global has launched India’s first hybrid phone—the HMD Touch 4G. Priced at just Rs 3,999, this new phone mixes the simplicity of a feature phone with the useful features of a smartphone. It’s made for people who want a smart, touch-based phone that’s easy to use and light on the pocket.

This new Hybrid Phone gives you a touchscreen, internet access, video calling, and apps — all in one small and sturdy device. It’s perfect for those who are using a smartphone for the first time or need a simple second phone that still feels modern.

Talk, Chat, and Video Call with Express Chat

The highlight of the HMD Touch 4G is the new Express Chat app. This app lets you chat, make voice and video calls, and create groups — just like other popular messaging apps. The best part? It works with both Android and iPhone users, so you can talk to anyone easily.

Express Chat also supports 13 Indian languages, helping people chat comfortably in their own mother tongue. With this app, the Touch 4G turns into a powerful communication tool for every Indian household.

You can check news, cricket scores, weather updates, and even play fun games through Cloud Apps. It’s more than just a phone — it’s a smart little companion for daily life.

Cameras and Safety You Can Count On

The phone has two cameras — a 2MP rear camera for photos and a front camera for video calls. These are great for casual use and staying in touch with loved ones through video chats.

For safety, the HMD Touch 4G includes an Emergency SOS (ICE) Key. Pressing this button instantly connects you to emergency contacts or services. It’s a life-saving feature, especially for senior citizens or users who need quick help.

The HMD Touch 4G supports all modern features — 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and even hotspot sharing. It charges through a Type-C port, which is usually found in expensive smartphones.

The phone packs a 2000 mAh battery, which lasts long thanks to its power-efficient system. Plus, it supports fast charging, so you can quickly get back to using your phone.

Easy to Buy Across India
