The Prime Minister’s work experience program for students and recent graduates is back! They’re now accepting applications for the second round of this trial program. The government department that handles business affairs made this announcement on Thursday.
This time, there are more than 100,000 internship jobs available in big, well-known companies all over India, in almost every district. When the program started, over 600,000 people applied for these internships, according to the government’s records.
Lots of big, well-known companies – over 300 of them! – are offering internships. These companies are in all sorts of different businesses, like those that deal with oil and gas, banks, travel, cars, metals, factories, and even the stuff you buy at the grocery store. They’re offering these internships so young people in India can get some real-world work experience, meet people in their fields, and make themselves more likely to get a good job later on.
If you qualify, you can search for internships by where you want to live and what kind of job you want. You can even find internships close to your home. You can apply for up to three internships before the closing date.
To help spread the word about the second round of internships, the government is holding over 70 events in areas where there are lots of internship jobs available. These events will be at schools, universities, job fairs, and other places where young people gather. They’re also running a big online advertising campaign using different websites and social media stars to reach as many people as possible.
The government’s business department is running a program to give young Indians a chance to work. It’s called the Prime Minister Internship Scheme, and it gives 21-24 year olds who aren’t in school or working full-time. It’s better chance to groom career.
Interns will get ₹5,000 every month, plus an extra ₹6,000 one time. The internships last for at least six months, and they’ll give you real work experience and training. This will help you learn the theory and the practical skills you need to get a good job.
