John Cena Farewell

The Royal Rumble match on February 1st looms large for John Cena, who has announced his retirement from WWE at the end of 2025. This could be one of his final opportunities to compete in the prestigious event.

In a major announcement during WWE Raw’s Netflix debut, 16-time world champion John Cena confirmed his participation in the upcoming Royal Rumble match. The winner of the Rumble match traditionally earns a championship match at WrestleMania, and Cena will be vying for that opportunity at WrestleMania 41.

The Royal Rumble may not be the only path to WrestleMania for John Cena. If he fails to win the Rumble, he can still earn a championship match at the biggest show of the year by conquering the Elimination Chamber.

With 16 world championships, John Cena shares the record with Ric Flair. One more title win would break the record and make him the undisputed WWE world champion. Randy Orton leads among active, full-time superstars with 14 world championships.

During his in-ring appearance, Cena expressed gratitude to Netflix, stating, ‘Thank you, Netflix, for allowing the world to experience Monday Night Raw.

A Times Now report speculates that Cody Rhodes could be John Cena’s opponent at WrestleMania 41. A title match against Cena would undoubtedly be a major boost for Cody’s career in WWE.

Gunther might have to fight CM Punk or Seth Rollins for his title at WrestleMania. Drew McIntyre also has a good chance to win, but he lost the title quickly after winning it at WrestleMania 40.
