South Africa win the match and secured a narrow 10-run victory over Pakistan in the first T201 of the three-match series, played at the Multan. Cricket stadium on Monday evening. This win gives the 1-0 lead heading into the remaining two matches.

In a closely contested match, South Africa Women secured a 10 run victory over Pakistan Women in the first T201 of their tour and South Africa win the match. Batting first, Pakistan Women managed to post a total of 122/5 in their 20 overs. In reply, South Africa Women chased down the target with 4 wickets to spare, reaching 132/4 in their alloted overs. The victory gives South Africa Women a 1-0 lead in the three match series.

Pakistan Women Fall Short In T201 Thriller

In a thrilling T201 encounter, Pakistan Women narrowly missed out on victory against South Africa Women, falling short by 10 runs.  Chasing 133 to win, Pakistan struggled early on,losing half their side by the 13th over. However, a crucial 75 run partnership between Fatima Sana and Aliya Riaz brought them back into the contest.

Despite the late surge, Pakistan ultimately fall short of the target. Fatima Sana top-scored with an unbeaten 37, while Aliya Riaz contributed a valuable 52. Marizanne Keppe and Tumi Sekhukhune claimed two wickets each for South Africa.

Earlier, South Africa Women had posted a total of 132/4 in their 20 overs. Tazmin Brits led the way with an unbeaten 56, while Sadia Iqbal took three wickets for Pakistan. Nida Dar, the former Pakistan Captain, bowled a tight spell, conceding just 11 runs in her four overs.

With this victory, South Africa Women extended their lead in the three match series to 2-0.The second T201 Pakistan Women and South Africa Women will take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday evening. Pakistan Women will be looking to bounce back from their narrow defeat in the series opener, while South Africa Women will aim to seal the series victory. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 pm.
