When people think about putting money into a mutual fund, the first thing they often do is look at how it’s done in the past. This helps them guess how much profit the fund might make in the future. For example, if a stock-focused fund has given really good returns, like over 20% every year for the last five years, it might not do as well now. This is especially true since the really good times in the stock market might be over.
In the same way, if a fund has been doing badly for a while, especially when other similar funds are doing well, then it’s probably not a smart place to put your money.

Aggressive Hybrid Funds Performance
This is a list of the best-performing aggressive hybrid investment plans over the last five years. For those who don’t know, aggressive hybrid funds are a type of investment where they put most of your money (65% to 80%) in company stocks, and the rest (20% to 35%) in bonds. Right now, there are 31 different aggressive hybrid investment plans available, managing a total of ₹2.19 lakh crore, according to the latest information from AMFI (as of March 31, 2025).
The stock market has been jumping around a lot in the last half-year. Because of this, looking at just the last year’s performance isn’t a good way to judge how these investments are doing. So, instead, we’re going to show you how much money these plans have made over the past five years.

The investment plans we just talked about have all made more than 20% profit each year, on average, over the last five years. The ones that did the best are: JM Aggressive Hybrid Fund (which made 26.5% per year), ICICI Pru Equity and Debt Fund (at 26.11% per year), and Quant Absolute Fund (at 26.22% per year). Other good performers include Edelweiss Aggressive Hybrid Fund (at 20.87% per year) and UTI Aggressive Hybrid Fund (at 22.27% per year).
Just because these investment plans have done well in the past doesn’t automatically mean they will do just as well in the future. Think of it like looking back – it tells you what happened, but it’s not a guarantee of what will happen next.
