Norwegian Cruise
NMPA played host to the elegant Seven Seas Voyager, a Bahamian cruise ship sailing under the Norwegian Cruise Line flag, on Thursday. The vessel arrived at 6:30 AM and departed later that day at 5:30 PM.
Carrying 650 passengers and 450 crew members, the 206.5-meter-long Seven Seas Voyager, with a GRT of 42,363, sailed from NMPA. Its itinerary features a captivating journey through the Indian Ocean, with stops in Fujairah, Mumbai, Goa, New Mangalore, and Cochin, before reaching its final destination in Colombo.
Passengers were welcomed with cultural performances upon arrival. Sightseeing tours were arranged to several local attractions, including the Gomateshwara Temple in Karkala, the Thousand Pillar Temple in Moodbidri, Soans Farm, the Kalbhavi Cashew Factory, and the Gokarnanatheshwara Temple. Visitors also enjoyed exploring the vibrant local markets.
The Seven Seas Voyager is the second cruise ship to visit New Mangalore Port this season, following the arrival of MS Silver Whisper. The port authority is dedicated to developing New Mangalore as a thriving destination for cruise tourism.
