The promise that BJP had made to give Rs 2500 per month to women during the elections is now going to be fulfilled. On the occasion of Women’s Day, the cabinet led by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta approved the Mahila Samridhi Yojana.

The cabinet led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday approved the ‘Mahila Samridhi Yojana’ to provide a monthly honorarium of Rs 2,500, this is a great news for the women of Delhi.

Rekha Gupta said that on Women’s Day, the Cabinet has approved the ‘Mahila Samridhi Yojana’, Delhi CM shared this news while addressing the media.

While talking to media, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said, “We held a cabinet meeting and approved the Mahila Samridhi Yojana – during the election, we had promised to give Rs 2,500 to women. We have made a provision of Rs 5,100 crore in the Delhi budget for the implementation of this scheme.”

The Chief Minister said that the registration for the scheme will begin soon.they have formed the committee, which will be led by her and “A portal will be launched soon,”
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said that it is a major step towards ensuring economic stability and social upliftment for women, particularly those from poor families.

Delhi minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that information about the criteria and other things will be given very soon. A committee of 3 ministers – Kapil Mishra, Ashish Sood and Pravesh Verma has been formed to implement the scheme and take measures.

The right way to apply for Mahila Samridhi Yojana

The Delhi government said that Aadhaar-based e-KYC will be used in this scheme and they will soon launch a portal and other necessary information will be shared. The government said that the scheme will leverage advanced technology to ensure transparency, efficiency and seamless delivery of financial benefits.

Who all are eligible for the scheme?

Women whose household income is less than Rs 3 lakh per year and who do not pay tax will be eligible for the scheme of Rs 2,500 per month. Women whose age is 18 to 60 years or women who do not do government jobs and who get other government financial assistance are eligible to get the benefit of this scheme.
