Frederick Charles Freeman (born 12, 1989) is a Canadian and American professional baseball first baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). Freddie Freeman returns and was especially welcomed by his Coaches and Teammates. The Los Angeles Dodgers are honoring all-star first baseman Freddie Freeman’s son Max before their game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday. All the coaches and teammates practice batting, wearing ‘#Max Strong’ T-shirts with his number 5 on the back before their game to show support for the 3-year-old.

 Freeman said, “I don’t know whose idea it was, but that was the first time I cried today when I walked in and saw these. It means a lot. The support from this organization has been, there are no words”. 

Maximus first got sick during the All-Star break in July, when their family traveled to the game in Texas to cheer on Freeman. For days later, the max could not sit up or walk and eventually stopped eating and drinking. Freeman’s son, Maximus was diagnosed with a rare illness called Guillain-Barre syndrome, which required him to be in the intensive care at the Children’s Hospital Of Orange Country.

Fredrick Freeman was placed on the family emergency list and had to leave the Los Angeles Dodgers while they were on a road trip in Houston after getting the news, that their son Maximus became fully paralyzed on July 26. Freeman was away from the team for 10 days. Max was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease, Guillain-Barve syndrome. Max spent 8 days in a pediatric intensive care unit before being discharged on Saturday. The next day, he began Physical Therapy.

Good news was shared by Chelsea Freeman who also thanked the entire medical team who helped a lot and took extra care of their son Max. She stated that their son ‘Max’ still needs time to recover and will need time to learn to walk again after the paralyzing attack. Freddie Freeman addressed this heartfelt message, He said, “It’s a good thing, I’m here because it means things are trending better. No one should have to go through this, especially a 3-year-old. I don’t know how often Chelsea and I said ‘We wish we could switch’.”

Freeman’s emotions returned during a 30-minute session with reporters as he detailed the pain of seeing his son suffer. Freddie Freeman got a hug from Phillies star Bryce Harper in his return to the Los Angeles Dodgers after missing eight games to be with 3-year-old son ‘Max’, who is out of danger after a serious medical diagnosis.

Freddie Freeman returns and received a standing ovation in his first at-bat. Freeman said, “I wasn’t expecting it, but very much appreciated from the Dodgers fan. Things made it hard to hit in that first at-bat, but that’s good.
