15 Years Old Vehicle Ban In Delhi: To control pollution, the Delhi government announced on Saturday that vehicles older than 15 years will not be allowed to get fuel after March 31.

Delhi’s Environment Minister, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, shared this information after long meetings with officials to discuss important policies and ways to reduce air pollution in the city. The minister said that in the meeting, they discussed pollution-related diseases and their solutions. He also accused the previous government of not taking any action to reduce water and air pollution.
“The funds were not used,” he claimed.
He explained that pollution comes from three main sources: dust, vehicles, and construction. Since they don’t have proper data on vehicles coming from outside Delhi, they have decided to stop giving fuel to vehicles older than 15 years after March 31, 2025
The minister said that a special team will identify vehicles that are more than 15 years old.
Talking about other measures to fight pollution, he mentioned that Delhi University (DU) students will be involved in a tree plantation drive to increase greenery.
The government is also identifying large companies and industries that cause pollution. These companies will be required to monitor pollution levels using special devices.
Additionally, the government will make it compulsory for tall buildings, hotels, commercial complexes, and even the Delhi airport to install smog guns, which help reduce air pollution.
He also announced that new forests will be created on barren lands to improve the environment.
Government Plans to Use Cloud Seeding to Reduce Pollution

He explained that whenever pollution levels in Delhi become extremely high, the government will use this method to trigger rainfall. The rain will help clear the air by washing away dust and pollutants, making the environment cleaner and healthier.
